Data integration partnership improves hospitality CRM SaaS
Posted in Cloud app integration trends by Mike Ponta on Jul 28 2010 Comments are offSoftware-as-a-Service (SaaS) found a place in the hospitality industry as hotels looked to lower technology costs and streamline infrastructure during the recession. Cloud-based hospitality CRM provider Libra OnDemand partnered with data integration software provider Informatica to improve data sharing between its SaaS applications.
Built on the Force.com platform, Libra OnDemand offers cloud applications for CRM, loyalty management, event management, and analytics targeted at the hospilitality industry. With the Informatica Cloud development platform, users are able to program Web-based integration services that integrate data between applications. The aim is for once-fragmented data to thus be unified.
Data integration services not only makes applications easier to use, but they can improve business practices as well. Hotel employees using Libra OnDemand, for example, can now access customer data in single profile, rather than having to assess data held in different apps. Having a single customer profile allows users to make quicker, more informed business decisions.
